How to Play Craps

If you're interested in learning how to play craps there are a few basic rules to keep in mind. Though online craps is a fairly intricate game with a lot of rules and a set of complex odds for betting on, the core aspects of the game can be learned very easily and the complexity should not scare the player off. Take a few minutes to read about how this game is played and you'll soon understood the fundamentals about how to play craps.

Put aside all the complex side bets and winning odds for a minute and try to grasp the concept of online craps. The game is based on the outcome of the roll of a set of dice. The shooter starts the game by throwing the dice on a craps table and based on the combined number from both dice a number of things can happen:
1) The shooter can win the game right off the bat.
2) The shooter can lose the game right off the bat.
3) The shooter neither wins nor loses and game play will continue for one or more rounds.

As far as betting is concerned, the shooter must place his bet on the craps table before his first roll of the dice. Other spectators can place all sorts of side bets based on craps odds but let's stick with the shooter for now. First is the standard bet on the pass line. Once this is made the shooter throws the first roll of the game (called the come out roll) and if the dice show either 7 or 11 the shooter wins usually 1:1 even money. If the numbers on the dice total up to 2,3 or 12 the shooter loses his pass line bet. If the player rolls either 4,5,6,8,9,10 he has made "the point number" and the game continues from there. The player is trying to roll that same point number again, but if he rolls a 7 first he loses. Now that you understand the fundamentals, a more detailed version of all the
